Vancouver Pirate Adventure Review

Looking for a different adventure with kids while in Vancouver?  Look no further than the family-friendly Pirate Adventure on Granville Island.  Here is our review of the Vancouver Pirate Adventure.  It is just one of the highlights of our trip to Vancouver, British Columbia.

Vancouver Pirate Adventure Review

What could be more fun for kids and adults than dressing up as pirates and setting sail on a pirate ship?  We boarded the Jolly Roger one late morning in May with our 2 and 4 year old children.  This pirate adventure suitable for kids of all ages with everyone enjoying this fun experience.

Fun adventures on the cruise include:

  • a treasure map;
  • tales of sea creatures;
  • sword fights;
  • cannons being fired; and
  • lost treasures.

There was never a dull moment aboard the Jolly Rogers.  The crew were amazing at keeping everyone engaged and having guests participate in the show.

Safety on board the pirate ship is a priority for the crew who made sure  little ones kept both feet on the boat deck at all times.  However, there was an incident with a kayaker getting caught in a water cannon batter, but it all worked out in the end!

Adding to the excitement of the day was the Vancouver Rowing Club’s Sail Past.  This annual tradition fills the harbour with yachters dressed in their best whites having a party.  There was even one boat with bag pipes adding to the ambiance.

The price for everyone aged 3 and above is $32 per person.  Kids age 2 and under are $16.  When booking the adventure, there was a little sticker shock at the price for a family of four.  Knowing our son would love being on a pirate ship, we went ahead and booked our trip.  After experiencing this pirate adventure, we thought price was well worth it.

We look forward to our next pirate adventure.  5 swords for the Pirate Adventure!!!!
